The Broken World Waits In Darkness For The Light That Is You

How long will it take for us to realize that we are God’s agents of light? It is through the channels of our daily lives that He shines the light of His message of love in the world today.

So how do we become agents of light? How do we penetrate the marketplace? How can we bring glory to God and touch the lives of the people we meet and mingle with on a daily basis in a positive life-changing, eternity-altering way?

Refreshed Hearts

There is a great need for refreshed hearts in our day and so the need for believers like Philemon is quite evident. There are many people with heavy hearts. Hearts that are discouraged, possibly through disillusionment or frustration. Hearts that have become hardened. And this is talking about believers – Christ followers – it’s much worse for those who do not have their hope in Christ. As disciples of Jesus we have the awesome privilege of bringing refreshment to the hearts of God’s people, just as we find rest, and refreshment in Him.

Fan or Follower?

Are you a follower of Christ or just a Fan? You see there are many followers who, if they are perfectly honest with themselves, might fall more into the category of fans. The most basic definition of a fan is ‘an enthusiastic admirer.’ It’s the guy who goes to a rugby match with the South African flag painted on his face; he stands and cheers wildly for the Springbok squad. He may even have a signed jersey hanging on his wall. But he’s never in the game. He never breaks a sweat or takes a hard hit on the field. He knows all about the players and can rattle off all the latest stats, but he doesn’t know the players. He yells and cheers but nothing is required of him. There is no sacrifice on his part. He’s simply an enthusiastic admirer.
