The New Harvest Christian Fellowship

Good Friday

Audio Recording

“For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ,” (2 Corinthians 1:5). It is when we understand and appreciate Christ’s suffering that we gain perspective on our own suffering and find comfort in the Lord.

Palm Sunday

Audio Recording

As Jesus made His Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem, riding on a donkey, the people cried out with praise. There would be no stopping the rejoicing and praise for it is right that Jesus, the Messiah, receives the honour and glory due His name.

Knowing Jesus’ Voice

Knowing Jesus voice requires spending time daily in the Word. The more time we spend in His Word the more readily we will recognise His voice and be able to discern those voices which are not His. Jesus says “I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and my own know me…”
As we Journey into Easter listen for Jesus’ voice. He is the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for our sake. Take time to get to know His voice so that you will not be led astray, but rather you will hear and obey every word that He speaks to you in your life.

2020 Vision: Shine!

God has called us out from the darkness into His marvellous light. He has chosen us. He has called us His own. He has set us apart as a holy nation and He has raised us to be a royal priesthood. This in order for us to declare His glory, His excellencies, to reflect His light, for Him to shine in us.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus

For Joseph Scriven, Jesus was not just his Lord and Saviour. Jesus was his friend. A close companion in the times of sorrow. A friend he could always go to with all the worries and cares of his life. A friend who helped him to resist temptation. A friend who would carry him when he wasn’t strong enough. Jesus was a friend who was there even if no one else was.
Can it be true? That Jesus wants to be our friend?

Disillusioned

John the Baptist was someone who had the most reason to believe that Jesus was the Messiah. Therefore it is shocking that he asks him the question: “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” What had changed? What had happened to John and in John that he would have such doubt?

Refreshed Hearts

There is a great need for refreshed hearts in our day and so the need for believers like Philemon is quite evident. There are many people with heavy hearts. Hearts that are discouraged, possibly through disillusionment or frustration. Hearts that have become hardened. And this is talking about believers – Christ followers – it’s much worse for those who do not have their hope in Christ. As disciples of Jesus we have the awesome privilege of bringing refreshment to the hearts of God’s people, just as we find rest, and refreshment in Him.
