Growing in Consistency

“If only my ways were committed to keeping your statutes…” We can relate to the writer of Psalm 119 in that there are certain commands that God has given that you find are easy enough to do, maybe you’re good at those things or strong in those areas. But when you think about ALL God’s commands you realise that there areas that are not great at all. If only we were more consistent in all areas of our spiritual lives, if only we were more consistent in following all of God’s Word.

Waiting

Our living relationship with the Lord often involves waiting. Waiting for Him to answer that prayer. Waiting for Him to open that door of opportunity. Waiting for Him to show us the way to go. Waiting for Him to deliver us from our trial and suffering. The question is then, Why does God make us wait?

For When I Am Weak, Then I Am Strong

God loves to use the weak to lead the strong. God loves to use the foolish to make the wise look foolish. The fact that God can use those whom we disqualify from the running, those who are not charismatic enough, or smart, or fit, or beautiful enough, those who are not rich or powerful enough, testifies as to how great our God is. What this tells us is that God can use you for great things in the Kingdom, no matter who you are, as long as you live a life of worship and surrender to Him.
